The Soap Explosion

At Science Camp, we put whole milk in a plate and put four dots of food coloring in the milk (like in four corners).  Then we got a plain Q-tip and dipped into the center of the milk and it didn't do anything.  But then we dipped another Q-tip in some green dish soap then dipped it in the center of the milk again and the food coloring EXPLODED!!
